Ohio to Go Live June 22 with New Hauling Permits System

- On June 22, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be launching Ohio Hauling Permit System (OHPS), a modern cloud-based portal designed to streamline oversize and overweight hauling permits. The new system will include enhancements such as an insurance portal to upload OS-32s and making payments online will be faster and easier. All workflows are paperless and completed with a few simple clicks. Users will not have access to the current OHPASS system beginning Friday, June 19 at 4 p.m. until the new OHPS is available on Monday, June 22 at 7:30 a.m. Please note, system issue permits will not be available during this same period of time. To access the new system on June 22, users must create an OHID account. Users are strongly encouraged to register before go-live on June 22. Here’s how to register: Visit the OHID Website to create an OHID account. After creating your OHID account, you may login to OHPS on June 22 to claim your account. Once you link your information you are ready to order permits on the new OHPS system. Visit the Hauling Permits website for more information, training manuals and future updates as we approach the launch of the Ohio Hauling Permit System. If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Ohio Hauling Permit Office at 614-351-2300 or via email Hauling.Permits@dot.ohio.gov.
