SC&RA Submits Comments on 232 Investigation Supporting Free & Fair Trade

- Under the direction of the Association's Board of Directors, SC&RA submitted comments, Thursday, July 9, to the U.S. Department of Commerce in support of free and fair trade. These comments were in response to the U.S. Department of Commerce Section 232 investigation on whether mobile crane imports into the U.S. threaten national security. A Section 232 investigation authorizes the Department of Commerce to conduct investigations to determine the effects on national security of imports of certain goods. Background information such as the U.S. Department of Commerce press release and Manitowoc Petition are linked here for your review. In the comments, SC&RA supports free and fair trade, insisting that members need options in their ability to source and provide cranes to their customers that will meet job requirements.
